(Hong Kong - 18 January 2001) Founder Holdings Limited (SEHK: 418) today announces that Beijing Founder Order Computer System Co., Ltd. ( "Founder Order" ), one of its systems integration arms in the PRC, has recently enhanced its co-operation with two of China's major commercial banks, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ( "ICBC" ) and the Construction Bank of China ( "CBC" ) through a series of moves.
The first auto-ticketing ATM system in Shanghai, which was developed by Founder Order, was officially launched by Shanghai ICBC and Shanghai Airliners on 25 December 2000. Now passengers are able to book air tickets directly through the said ATM systems installed at five ICBC branches in Shanghai and then collect air tickets and boarding passes at either of the two Shanghai airports. The same auto-ticketing ATM system is already in use by Beijing ICBC together with Air China. Founder Order is right now the biggest ICBC's systems integration solutions provider in the PRC. In the past, Founder Order already developed systems such as phone banking, on-line banking and mobile banking for the ICBC.
Contract between Yunnan CBC and Founder Order was officially signed on 30 December 2000 for the upgrading of Yunnan CBC's province-wide banking system and the construction of its network system. With the implementation of the new systems in June 2001, Yunnan CBC aims to achieve both independence and province-wide accessibility of their three major application systems, such as daily over-the-counter operation system, payment and clearing system and the Bank's internal MIS.
