EC-Founder (SEHK: 618), the e-commerce arm of Founder Holdings (SEHK: 418), has unveiled three key operating units under an ambitious plan to drive the expansion of the mainland e-commerce market. The new units are EC-Technology, EC-Solution and EC-Service.
The EC-Technology unit will be the prime research and development arm of the new company working to develop new products and technologies for commercialisation. Leveraging strong links with Founder Group, the unit will work on technologies relating to Internet security, mobile applications, spatial technology and knowledge management services. The unit employs more than 100 research and development staff.
The firm's EC-Solution unit will offer turnkey solutions to mainland companies aspiring to establish a presence on the Internet. Other services offered include systems integration, e-commerce products, application software, integrated systems and consulting. The company has e-commerce enterprise clients in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
The EC-Service unit will supply a full range of interactive advertising and marketing services for Chinese consumer-oriented websites. Under this unit is the "EC-Media" division (www.ec2media.com), the first Chinese content integration and management platform, which takes advantage of the global and official Chinese media resources as well as drawing on Founder Group's strong technology support. "EC-Media" automatically acquires, saves and classifies information and sends the most wanted materials instantly to their clients.
Building on the exclusive "AdServer" technology licensed from Yahoo!, "Ad-Targeting", another division under EC-Service unit, promotes a full range of interactive fusion marketing services from online ad design and production to web site construction, web page design and web technology support.
"EC-Founder will continue to help mainland companies to boost their businesses by developing a successful e-commerce strategy as quickly and cost-effectively as possible," said Mr Ricky Lee, president of EC-Founder Ltd at a launch ceremony held in Hong Kong. "With its state-of-the-art technology, years of accumulated experience in software development and a well-staffed research and development department, we believe that we are well positioned to achieve this ambitious goal."
